got some more f@''''''in tyres

Post by vw_nutta » Sat Nov 06, 2004 3:06 pm

I don't believe it, got back to my car last nite after being out with a mate and both passenger tyres have been slashed!!!

Anyone that don't know, I had two Michelin PS2s fitted to the front only last saturday, so one tyre managed to last all of 7 days!!

This left me with one good new PS2 on the drivers front and one good Toyo T1-s on the drivers rear, I didn't fancy driving about on 3 new tyres and one very old one so I've got 3 new ones fitted and kept the legal but old Toyo at home. These people are just complete bastards!! They nicked my s4 badges too, the rear one and the front, I'm only glad they didn't scratch any of the body work.

I wasn't the only one, the security guy said about 18 cars were done last night, mostly expensive cars, TT's, Mercs, Golfs, even a focus. All the same, two tyres done on one side of the car.

Managed to get the car home via RAC, got up early and managed to find a garage with 3 PS2s in stock, just got home from having them all fitted.

I'd like to say a big thank you to the friendly chaps at ATS Euromaster in Leagrave,Luton, they were very helpful.

Anyway, I'm now running 4 Michelin PS2s all brand new so I guess at least I can have some fun round the corners now!!

I sadly had this happen to me about 3 weeks ago, the lads who came along to Spa saw the damage that has been done down the passengers side of my car. Unfortunately I couldn't get it fixed before we went away so had to travel with it as it was.

I've had to look upon it as just a very bad case of - Wrong place, Wrong time. I had parked outside my mates to go and watch the GP he had recorded a few days previously, I was only in there for about an hour, and when I came out, voila - two dirty great big scratches all the way down the passsengers side, bastards had even keyed across the door handles.

My initial concern was to wether or not I knew the culprit and was unknowingly buying the c*nt a pint down the pub at the w/e. A couple of days later my mate phoned saying that at least 3 more cars around his estate had also been keyed on the same night, so just very unlucky me thinks. It did put my mind at rest though that someone had not done it malicously against me.

Nothing that £1300 cant fix though!
Too much is bad.
Plenty is better.

Really sorry to hear that - Whereabouts did it happen? I know Luton reasonably well. Would be good to know so I avoid it when I am around there!
