Windscreen seal

Post by jonno1 » Fri May 21, 2004 4:15 pm

Having noticed excessive wind noise at (reasonably) high speed, I have found that in several places (particularly along the top) the rubber seal around the windscreen is coming away. Its not perished or worn, it just needs sticking back down again! Has anyone done this themselves and if so what did you use or do I have to take it to Autoglass or similar?

Thanks in advance.

I'm no expert so don't blame me if it doesn't work but could you simply get some clear silicone sealent from a DIY store and carefully push back the seal to sqeeze a bit under, the peel off any excess.

As I say just a thought
