Which wheels?

Post by rikrose » Wed Feb 13, 2008 12:28 am

Following on from the photoshopping I did the other day, I'm taking a poll, since I didn't get an answer after the last option was posted. So, for those that care - which do you think suits the Ming Blue car best? I'm going for subtle - just a little hint that it's not quite an A4.

OPTION 1 - Unpainted

OPTION 2 - Edging

OPTION 3 - Edging and insides

As always, click on each image to go to the flickr page, where you can click the "All Sizes" button to view it larger.

The spokes look too thin IMO when the edges are painted, though the wheels look bigger (ie the spokes look longer) with the insides done. I'd do the whole wheel in a subtle anthracite :beerchug:

Well I think i'll be doing the edging and the insides if I ever get around to it. Still not sure if i'd go anthracite or gloss black like the genuine MTM's.

Almost tempted to do the middle bit as well. When I look at my MTM reps at night on from an angle (ie: when light doesn't reflect from the middle), I think the wheels look much better. I suppose the look a bit like the Nuvolari rims.
