Just noticed this post.

Sounds like the heater fan unit is worn out.

Remove the glove box and relace the fan unit, cost for a Valio replacment is around £80/90.

Saf had a similar problem which he rectified himself, it might be worth PMing him.

Well all I'm saying is that Saf had the same thing happened to him and he managed to fix it without spending big bucks.

check the earth connection too on the fan motor.... plastic body on heater unit... ....???
