Lost my front indicator????

Post by h8cak » Thu Mar 08, 2007 1:06 am

Heres a good one for you............ I was comming home from footie this evening, Which is a 20 min motorway drive. I was driving the car like i had stolen it as i had been in my van all day. Lots of pulling away and breaking ect. Any way as i neared my home i entered a 30mph zone and slammed my brakes on and my front drivers side indicator unit shot out on to the road and i preceded to drive over it? even the bulb holder came off? How odd? Dont spose any one has one kicking around do they?

The same happened to me but I was going down the motorway and it flew off the car (thank god no other cars around), when I told Audi, they said it does happen from time to time...

Went to the steelers today to order a new indicator. They also told me that it happens from time to time?

my old 100 used to do this, cos clip was a bit knacked

bradawl made a small hole thru plastic clip of indicator clip and corresponding car clip, and piece of copper wire

this of course was after i had just put a new one in and watched it fly away at 120...

Mine has never fallen out in almost 4 years even though the clips have always been a bit knacked due to the car being damaged on that corner. However, I removed it on Saturday to work at the headlight and its since fallen out twice. The first time at 60 it was unscathed but the more recent excursion has chipped the corner off meaning its going to be replaced. Its since had a hole made in the clip as is now zip-tied to keep it in place

H8cak, how much was it? Lamps are reasonably cheap I find, even from 'stealers'
