Nissan Skyline Gtr Got Whooped!!!!

Post by s4-99 » Mon May 01, 2006 6:26 pm

Thouhgt i'd share this bit of fun i had yesterday!!!

I was coming back from Grantham to Leicester on the A607 when i ended up behind a Nissan Skyline Gtr. We were behind a few other cars and i could see him looking in his rear view every few seconds  Anyway after a mile or so he decided to take a dodgey manouver and he went for it, he past a few cars to get to the front. I waited until it was safe then i followed his lead. When i was back behind him there was just one car in front of him and a nice long clear road. Here we go, he pulls out i follow in 3rd gear. I'm on him like a rash  we pass the car that was in front then as he pulls in, you can tell he floors it to try not to let me pass. Well i had plans for him, as i changed to fourth i was just over a car length in front and able to pull in and start pulling on him nicely. Then when fith came it was see you later, he was finished. :kissmyrings:

When i caught up with traffic again he came up behind me smiling and gave me the thumbs up. I dont know what spec them cars have got, but i've heard they are fast and he went for it best he could and lost

Nice to know it's there when you need it.

What are you running on your S4 - if your stock then maybe he just missed a shift.

what was it R32,33,34. The R32 GTR v-spec does a 1/4 mile in 12 secs but as with the S4 is highly tuneable.

Id sell a kidney for a R34 GTR v-spec but id probably have to sell the other to insure it.

It was'nt like the one in your picture. It was an L registration absolutely mint, looked like an import??? As i said i dont know much about them cars only they are fast :)

My spec is: 18" RS6 Reps, Bailey Rdv's, Samco Tbb, Miltek Cat Back, K&N Induction Kit, Short Shifter, AMD Re-map.

I'm booked into MRC in a few weeks for a full H&R makeover and gutted pre-cats, so hopefully i'll be seeing a little more power and excellent handling :D

So what type of spec does an R32 have? The driver must of been s**t then as i had to pass the car he over took and him to get in front, still it was all good fun and another one to the S4.

I did notice he had alot of gauges, 3-4 on his pillar as i passed, not that they helped him much

It definately said GTR on the back, GT then the R was just underneath the T in Red, kind of blended in. It had a Square number plate, and twin pipes on the left side. The car looked low and there were a few gauges running down the pillar. It was like a dark red/burgandy colour.

He thought he had it but it was only a thought, the S came through again

Standard they are 280 BHP and limited to 110 ish in Japan. This has to do with the 'gentlemens agreement' regarding the power of Japanese cars. They are easily remapped to 360-400 BHP and can go as high as 1000 BHP with extreme tuning.

He must have been standard then, when my car was tested after the re-map it pushed out 331bhp. Wether the figures are true or not i dont know, it did the job on the day. :s4addict:

They are all imports and vary widely. I looked at the history of the car a while back. There was a period when it was just a boring road car. It is almost impossible to know what car it was and what level of tune it had.

Also remember that anyone can put a badge on the back of a car...
2001 Silver S4 Avant
AmD remap, APR R1 DVs, APR bipipe, Full Miltek exhaust
H&R coilovers, AWE DTS, Porsche front brakes, Short-shifter, 18" RS4 replicas
Defi-HUD boost gauge / turbo-timer (with afterrun pump modification), Phatbox

sorry to burst your bubble but that was almost certainly a GTSt - single turbo, rear wheel drive, 250bhp. Very few Lreg R33 GTR's around, even fewer R32 GTR's on that plate, almost none that are in the red colour.

common problem with the GTS's is the application of the GTR badge :(
