Sat nav Scratches

Did a bit of trawling as my wifes sat nav screen has started to get scratched this i found out was the anti glare coating on the sceen after much searching i found that Meguiars Plastx was gave a really good result

Did it remove the the anti-glare coating?
I had the same issue, but I was concerned about increasing glare if I polished it, so I got one of these
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004ZXZK4O/ iPad anti-glare screen protectors and chopped it down to size.
I was mostly trying to get rid of the glare (which it seems to have done) but it also seems to have hidden the scratches nicely.

Yes It did remove the anti glare but it doesn't seem to be a problem the screen res is still fine even in bright sun light

forgot to say you will need micro fiber cloth and a stick to get right into the edges i used a bamboo skewer or you get edges like this

Do you think this would work on the clear plastic on the dash / dials?
Got some scratches on mine that annoy me.

Although the sat nav is particularly bad!
