Best approach to car cleaning for a "beginner"

Hi all,

So obviously I've cleaned a lot of cars over the last 20 years. But now I want to take some more care and start detailing my own car (B5 RS4) - pics to follow
Now I've got some new kit but probably not all of it yet. So given the bits I do have - what is the best approach?

I have karcher + snow foam lance + Autobrite snow foam + CarPro Iron X + Poorboys Wheel Sealant + Berry Blast Endurance Trim & Tyre Gel +
Meguiar's NXT Wash and Wax + lots of fluffy cloths, detailing brushes and polishing mits. Inside I'm going to have a go at later but have Meguair Leather cleaner and autoglym glass cleaner to get it started.

I'm thinking:
jet wash
snow foam
agitate rubber, badges, grills and wheels exhausts/ dwell for 20 minutes
clean inside wheel arches
rinse
Wash car
Iron X wheels and body
wash again
dry
polish
glass clean
tyre dress

And of course photograph as I go !

Thoughts?

Sounds pretty good. Does the iron x only decontaminate a certain single type of contamination? Or will it be enough on its own? After the hard work of polishing, u will need to seal with a synthetic sealant or a carnauba wax I would have thought. Even though u missed it out of ur sequence, I presume u will be sealing the alloys cos Uve bought the sealant. When are u hoping to do this?

Yes good point I did seal the tyres.
I hadn't thought of the sealant Something to add next time....
Did it last Saturday. Got some photos - the IronX is especially interesting after it 'looking clean'. I'll post them up shortly.
