Just bought Sep 2000 Evo off Ebay with 4 page RS4 solo road test and the test car is.....W271 EWL, the Avus one in the first pic.
Don't know where the car went off to but never saw it again in the press, all UK press cars were Nogaro (X*** NUD) or Misano (W reg).
The only Avus ones were German registered.

Hi I am pleased to say I bought w271 ewl in January this year. So if you were wondering , the RS is back and used every week for fun drives. Not a daily. I bought it privately off a fellow petrolhead who lived on the outskirts of Croydon. I have had the lcd screen replaced on the dash, I have replaced a brittle/cracked roof aerial rubber, header tank and have oem wheel centres to go on once I have had the wheels fully refurbished. Car is no longer standard and a previous owner had qst carry out an mtm upgrade, miltek, 993 turbo brakes.

I have had it checked over, rear wash wipe fixed, every fluid changed and apart from having the wheels done, i just plan to drive and enjoy. I have found a copy of the evo edition that contained my car and hopefully it will arrive this week to go along with the massive file i have. I am lucky to have had quite a few cars, but this is the one I can never see me changing!
