Warranty renewal

So my warranty is almost up for renewal and I have had my letter through but was somewhat taken aback when the page popped up and quoted.
£2632.70 - oof
Now if I loose roadside (have that already) and set the mileage to max of 15k its still £1966.95
Reduce it further by changing to named component rather than comprehensive and up the excess to £250 its still £926.93
Im struggling to see the point at those rates; I may as well just tuck a bit extra away each month for possible repair bills.
At 6000 miles a year it would appear that im considered a bigger risk as the lowest I can set the mileage too is 15k a year.
Might give them a call and see if it can be improved.
