My car has an Audi Extended Warranty (5th year), and presently is at the dealers with its gearbox stripped .( 1st gear Whine). Originally they said it would take 7 days the car has now been with them for almost 14 days and now i have been told that they are waiting for a confirmation date of WHEN THE PARTS ARE GOING TO BE SHIPPED from Germany. Audi have refused to give me a loan car . Fair play to the dealer they are trying to get authorisation so i can have one but Audi U.K. are flatley refusing. Can any one advise where do i stand in this matter?

Sorry mate....couldn't resist...
Surely it's up to the dealer as to whether you get a loan car. Never had any problems getting a replacement car from Listers in Coventry, even at short notice. It's their pool that it comes from so I don't see why Audi UK should refuse.

I had the gearbox done on mine and I had a car from Reading Audi for the first few days. Then when they ordered the new box and were told it would be at least a week to ship from Germany, they swapped the car I had for an Audi UK car - they said that when you're waiting for parts from germany etc... Audi UK will always supply the loan car (obviously the one I had was needed for other customers).
I'd go kick Audi UKs ass as they are being twats in not giving you a car. I'm sure if you kick up a fuss they'll give you one.

I approached the dealer last week after i posted here and they gave me B7 2.5tdi avant. I was told the parts had arrived and the tech was going to start work on it on monday/ tuesday and that it would be ready by the end of the week.

Are they doing the clutch at the same time (or does it not need doing)?
