Sunday Times article...

I was reading in the Sunday Times yesterday that Victoria Audi are the most expensive Audi garage in the country. While my car was still under warranty this is where it used to go. Not any more methinks!
So the question is where to go in South London for RS4 servicing? I've used Whites in the past but lost patience with them after a series of cock-ups. My local garage (Dulwich Audi, them of the 04 'recovered' RS4) seem very helpful but I don't think they've serviced an RS4 before.
Does any one have any recommendations? I'm quite prepared to travel for something decent and don't necessarily have to use a main dealer.

Listers Coventry... Depends how far you want to go. I use them, and I'm one and half hours away. Good dealers are few and far between IMHO.

I've been using Reading Audi, and so far can't complain! They're customer service in terms of keeping in contact with you to update with what's going on isn't too hot, but then again, they are a garage. More importantly, the work they've done can't be faulted thus far - 3 new soft wheels with no complaints, new gearbox under warantee with clutch at cost, and a standard price service.

Dovercourt Battersea are OK. They have worked on other members cars before I got mine, and I've had a few things done there under warranty. Not used them for servicing yet, but at least they do have RS experience.

Phil,
You surprise me. I only work 2 miles away from Listers (you can drop in for a coffee next time you're at Listers) and my experience with Listers has led me to the conclusion that I wouldn't trust them with a bicycle, let alone an RS4
I don't think that I have ever had my car (or my wife's A4) back from Listers without a problem, and some have been very significant requiring very costly repairs.
Cheers

I now use Beechwood Audi in Halesowen and so far (touch wood, fingers crossed etc.) they've been very satisfactory.
I'm pretty sure that they are where John Roberts took/takes his RS4.

Deal. Haven't seen you for ages... G-Force, IIRC?
Re Listers... Been really good to me. Absolutely no complaints.

The price of £795 for 2 years extended warranty does seem very good, especially when they quoted me £790 for 1 year

and this was their own dealer warranty.
Let me know when you're next coming down and I'll put the kettle on

I'll even come and pick you up from Listers if you want.
Cheers

When I had my RS4 used Battersea Audi and they seemed to know what they were doing and got an A6 courtesy car so cant complain!! Also fitted most of the mods for the previous owner as well.

I went to Dovercourt Battersea in the end. All very easy and the cheapest service I've had so far (though that doesn't mean it was cheap!)
Thanks John

Listers Coventry!! Give them a call... If you do take out the warranty, they do prefer that you get the car maintained with them. Worth the drive IMHO.

Hi John,
Phil has already answered, but it is Listers in Coventry 024 7667 5675.
They will need to inspect the car first, which is chargable at £60, but it is pretty thorough and you do get a written report, which is quite handy.
Re. the Cobra project, I'm still working on it, but it is looking quite positive at the moment. I've already started working on the engine, a genuine Ford 427 Side-Oiler (7 litre)
I'll keep you posted on developments.
Cheers
Paul

bollox, bollox, bollox, bollox, bollox !!!
I rang around a few places in early december when my warranty was up for renewal. All the dealers told me they could only do yearly policies, and I was running out of time to renew it so I extended by a year directly with Audi warranty (and yes it cost a lot more than that !).
I was sure that someone had told me they could exptend by 2yrs. Is it a full coverage policy, and who is it with ?
Might give them a call and ask if I get the chance. Guildford Audi told me the Audi dealer network are only meant to sell audi warranties, and could not see gow another dealer could do this.
Does the engine need much work, or are you giving it a once-over to make sure it doesn't go bang in ther future ?

So you missed this that I posted in March... Oooooppppsss
Picked up my car today and took out an extended warranty:
2 years for £795!!! Maybe I should add "value for money" also!! That includes all sorts of extras not included in the usual packages.
