Hi there.
I'm an ex RS4 B8 owner but now considering the B7. This will be our second car in the house by my daily driver.
What should I be looking out for apart from the usual wear items; breaks, clutch etc. Is this car equipped with DRC? Any must haves on the option list? Buckets etc...
FSH a must not necessarily main but certainly inde. blue preferred but other colours fine.

Did you career change to a hairdresser recently?

Is your username to make up for the fact you want a ragtop

It has drc but I would look for one that’s had it replaced. Options are a personal preference, buckets look good but I like my comforts. Look for evidence of oil coolers and lines being replaced, maybe auxiliary radiators too.

A Cab owner myself, of a couple of weeks - absolutely love it so far. I intentionally sourced one without the Recaros as the standard seats tip forwards more easily and the little one will be in the back sometimes.

Mistakes I made through lack of reading were exhaust vales were jammed (should be open when engine off and closed once engine on) and brake discs are lipped at all 4 corners. Heated rear screen has 4 elements that don't work, hard to test that until you own it though!

Check the roof operation more than once, check the one touch 'all windows' switch

FSH is common, specialist rare and main dealer even rarer I found and commanding a substantial premium. I settled for one with a 'regular' history with some stamps from random garages. 65k miles and the recent owners (there were 8 in total!) started looking after it properly at Audi/Specialist. It drove well, was in great condition and was the right colour and spec. The leather and switchgear does seem susceptible to miles, and the switches are doubly damaged by sunshine in the ragtop.

It's always great advice to get one with FASH, DRC replaced, carbon clean every 2 years and all that good stuff, but there are only a dozen for sale in the country. Sometimes you just have to take the plunge and be prepared to pay the running costs of a 12 year old 60k car.
