Problem with opening Passenger Door.

Guys,

I'm just after a little help as I'm having problems with my passenger door on a 08 plate S5.

When the car is locked and you press the button to open it on the key the passenger door remains locked from the outside. I've tried the option on the menu for isolating the passenger door but neither option on it makes a difference. Once the door has been opened once then its not an issue and can be opened from the outside as normal.

Is there an immediate fix on this or have any of you experienced a similar problem?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Sounds like the door lock latch mechanism has become detached from the lock motor
Just to double check - repeatedly pressing the unlock button on the remote has no effect?
What about the interior unlock button?

No mate, nothing happens with either. If I open the door manually from inside then the outside door handle can be used until I lock the car again. If it is the lock mechanism is it easy to self rectify or is it a trip into the Audi dealer?

I have exactly the same problem. Car's off to the mechanic tomorrow so will post outcome as soon as I know.
Worst case I think is that the lock actuator is dead - and it's an Audi only part apparently :boohoo:

All sorted. New actuator in - part number 8J2 837 015 A (Audi S4 B8 2009).
£155 + fitting (1 - 2 hours depending on experience of fitter).
No recoding or anything needed.
