Thought i would do a quick guide as to the fitment of Isofix mounting rails to my 2000 S6, i had read a posting about location of the holes etc...
I really didn't think i would have the mounting holes to carry out this addition..
For this job you will need a torque allen key or torque head on an extension bar, with a ratchet.
You may want to hoover the seat as well whilst it is out, i had 12 years worth of crap and sweet wrappers behind mine.
You may want to carry out Step 2-3 first to find the holes hidden, before carrying out step 1.
Step 1
Buy the correct rail and bolts
Part number 8D0 813 545 x1 (seat rail)
Part number 8L0 837 453 x2 (bolts torque style)
Step 2
Remove the seat base.
Pull up at each corner and then pull forward from the middle and upwards... job done if you have heated seats you may want to disconnect them to make more room.
Step 3
Locate your Isofix mounting holes, i used a torch to find the painted over stickers, peel them off.
You will see there are 2.
Step 4
There is very little room to get into the bolts, unless you want to remove the whold rear seat upright...i didn't.
I tried the bolt first to make sure it went in handtight.
I then offered up the seatrail and hand tightened the first bolt in.
Step 5
To make it easier to tighten the bolts its now time to get low, with my torch and torque allen key, i pulled the seat uprights down on top of me slightly, this gives you more access to make it easier to tighten the bolts..
If you are using a Allen key type and you turn the allen key BE CAREFUL not to scratch the seat backs with the bent end as you turn it.
Repeat with other bolt..
Step 6
Job done, replace up right on seat and replace seat bottom.
You are now ready to pop in a child Isofix seat.
Time it took me to fit one rail, 25 mins including a Hoover out.
Hope this helps someone in the future.

Great write up !!
Now got grand kids so will be looking to put seat fixings in my RS6 shortly. Strapping the seat belts round the pushchair/carrycot is a pain in the a##e.
