OUCH! Feel for you buddy! The audi dealer not pick the engine out defects then?

Glad Kim is helping, he's been great for me when I've needed stuff done in the past on other cars.

You bought it from a registered motor trader no?

the law is on your side. .. its black and white.

Get a solicitor and you'll have your money back

Get it taken back to the original garage, you have to give them the opportunity to fix it. If you don't and get someone else to fix you will not be able to get any money spent.

In this situation you are so well covered by every trade descriptions act and supply of goods act in the UK and European Union. I would take the car straight back to the original dealer who sold you the car with the list of work that needs doing as provided by Kim Collins @ QST and give them the opportunity to fix all the faults. If not go and see a solicitor in double quicktime.

Do not spend any money on this car yourself - you would not get this back as the dealer in question will then say it was fine when you took it away.

Do not let this go - The Law is on your side!!! - Your solicitor will tell you it is a real no brainer of a case!

Thanks for all the messages and advice, I have been tying to contact the dealer who sold the car for 2 week but to no avail. Have left messages advising legal action but the guy is obvously a sheister <beep>! Real shame as I really like the car but it is still at the garage.
Thinking if the legal approach does not work may just pay him a visit and have it out with him!

Car was bought from bullitt cars in north London - still having words with them about getting it sorted or refunded!
Glum though as I just want to drive the thing!
Will keep you all posted but hope to have her (or him - not decided yet) back on the road

Call trading standards and check your position if its there problem they should be replacing all the parts. If they say they will repair it get it checked again to ensure they have done it correctly.

My cousin is a mechanic (not Audi) and a mate is a used car sales man. They have both said anyone brandishing trade and standards generally get what it takes to sort the problems. Sorry to hear this mate good luck with the case.

HOLLY <beep> !!!

TAKE IT BACK to the place you bought it, get advice from the advice bereau if need be, you have bought a car not worthy of its badge.

as for Glasgow Audi sericing it... I wouldnt trust threm to change a headlight from left hand drive to right hand drive !! trust me its true.

get to Unit 20, MRC or QST or ditch it and buy another, as you say its not exactly a good start to your first Audi ownership.

feel for you !!
