Funny you've just posted this, as they sent a driver (an old posh Bentley chauffeur) in a train and taxi to collect my car from over 100 miles away yesterday, and at no cost to me, it's having 4x wheel refurbish, fitting my new goodyears, gearbox oil change, four wheel alignment, rear pads, engine and gearbox out to replace the oil pump, all gaskets/seals to be replaced and a service even though it doesn't need one for a while, and some other bits and pieces, it's a five figure bill, I'll only be picking up circa £2k of it. Again, they've gone way out of their way to help me and kept me informed every step of the way. Should be like new when I get her back, she's already immaculate cosmetically, the driver couldn't find a mark on the bodywork, not even a stone chip.

Ditto I totally agree Amar, mine was in the same time as yours for the same thing, (saw yours there). I used to go to Finchley road, front of house service staff were clueless. Tech boys here are great as are Chris and the rest of front of house team, nothing is too much trouble. Not local to me but I now won't go anywhere else.

Why not? Bad experience? If so, I hope you let them know.

I would use them. I still do on my seven year old car, although more and more I'll heading down the indie route: not through lack of praise for Tyneside (at Silverlink) but because a good indie will know and work with my 'vintage' of car. You've got Revolution ten miles from you in Gateshead. Have a chat with Glenn (the owner) and Glen (senior bod) about what you are thinking about.

In short: you've got two really good options IMO.

Thanks Amar and everyone that's chipped in, nice to know there's a dealer I can trust if/when I need to take it to a dealer. :beerchug: So far I've managed without but ya never know.
