Thanks guys. I'm based in Clapham, South West London. I don't want this "we're not responsible if we damage the wheel" to be part of the deal as it is misaligned interests.

Why do people make this so bloody hard!

Replaced wheel isn't perfect (some brake dust pitting) but certainly much better. They left the old wheel weight residue on the wheel which isn't great but I'd rather fix that issue.
Now to wash the car properly tomorrow and put this all behind me.

My experience recently was a mixed bag of emotions but if you take away the time/hassle/anxiety/fact I didn't crash, then at least I can say Audi (Maidstone) took it on the chin and were rather embarrassed by the whole affair.

These V-Spokes from the RS4 Avant are my second set of wheels more-so for cruising and wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sports (255 x 30 x 20) finished in black gloss. Refurbishment was at £120 inc VAT p/wheel and after leaving my B7 RS4 with Audi for 4 days, was rather excited to be getting her back on the road for the rather glorious weekend of sunshine that we were going to be blessed with.

The sunshine didn't last long though, as just 5 mins after exiting Audi and hitting the motorway, got a low tyre pressure warning and then bang. Pulled over to take a look and after some fettling came to the conclusion that the tyre beading had not been set properly. At this point I was grateful that the problem was on the rear rather than the front.

Another 4 days later, I got that wheel back which had been damaged (lightly) on the internal hub w/ a new tyre and all costs covered by Audi. I'm not sure if this was a freak occurrence but seemed like an obvious coincidence given the timings. You're probably thinking that I should've pushed for a new alloy too, but to be fair, they do look after me and my cars at Maidstone. They outsource their refurbishment to JW Smart who are in Sheerness I believe.

Ha! For a moment there, I actually thought the DRC on that corner given out. Like I said, an emotional rollercoaster...
