ASM Performance, Milton Keynes

Mixed reviews about this dealer. Does anyone have personal experience of them, or know someone that has? OK or avoid?

Cheers.

I have spoken with them about a year ago, their knowledge wasn't great imo. It was all a bit "alright bruv".

When asked about the brakes on the car I was interested in the answer was "there's loads of life left" when pushed on the depths it was clear I was too much hassle and I was told "if want to take a look yourself you can come and see it". Fair enough I suppose but before I drive for 3 hours I would have liked a bit of an idea.

Just my opinion of course.

I know a couple of people that have bought cars from them, one and RS4 and another a 911. Both said that they had good service and the 911 owner had an issue with the car which was quickly resolved. They do have some lovely cars in their showroom too! No idea how competitive they are on price, but I'll definitely pay them a visit when I next change cars

Thanks. :)

Some people seemed happy with the actual cars but I've read a lot of negative comments about the sort of thing you describe.

You can find reviews on them here. ..

http://www.cardealerreviews.co.uk/

There is mention of this being Aylesbury Street Motors by some disgruntled customer but personally no idea.

If one comes along I like, i'd personally still try them. I guess as long as you do your due diligence on the car etc.

They do seem to get alot of RS4's in. Including one from Ireland that had red leather bucket seats!
Promptly put it up by £4k over the private sellers advertised price before they reduced it after a little while by £1500.

Think they finally sold it recently.

So do you think Aylesbury Street Motors was closed down and then re-opened as ASM Performance? What would they gain from doing that?

I'm not saying they HAVE done that as I don't know them from Adam but...

companies do this all the time when the previous company has a bad reputation / unpaid county court judgements / debts / etc etc. Close down one day as 'Floggit & Runn Ltd' and open in the same location the next day as 'F&R Performance Ltd'. All debts are written off, clean slate for everything, with no comback for the poor suckers who raised cases against the original company. It's very very common - more so amongst car dealers it seems.
Believe only the man who has nothing to gain from what he says.

Yeah agree with the above from Ross.

I don't know if this is Aylesbury Street Motors or not but like I mentioned earlier, ,if they had something I liked it wouldn't put me off. I would just go through all the checks and history with the finest tooth comb!
