I had a b5 and thought I'd regret it going for a b7 ..., never regretted it and never missed the B5 but missed the b7 so much I'm after another . I'm sure I'd think twice about a b8 but then not regret it but currently their values are dropping like the proverbial lead brick
I think you are right John in regards to the oil.
I fitted an ARB kit whilst replacing the coilovers with bilstein b12 set up and the car steers a lot nicer, this was suggested to my by Norman and was good advice, the b5 has been remapped which I think helps the car as well.
The B7 is a different car completely, the noise with the v8, and the way it drives is just different in a slightly more modern way, if you get my drift, although my car with the charger certainly goes well much quicker than my poor driving can cope with lol

In relation to the B8, I think they are a very nice car, and obviously that bit more modern again, but I struggle sometimes when I am up close to them to know if it is an RS4, or an RS6, until I check the badge, but then maybe in some people's eyes that's not a bad thing!

David.

The b7 sounds interesting David ! You use Ivan for your non dealer work ?

Hi John

I will let you see the B7, do you a deal against the MB.

I have used Ivan a few times with the UR's he certainly knows his stuff, he served his time on them when working at the VAG dealers many moons ago!

I've used mc Millan Porsche for a lot of work on my b7 they were top notch absolutely no complaints and they work on a lot of top end Porsches/audis.

Then I went to a Audi-sport owners day at Belfast Audi and realised how good they also were and how competitive they can be, with me now working in Belfast a lot I've used Audi a lot as well and have zero complaints and nothing but praise.

They replaced 2 of my drc shocks, recharged the system and new discs and pads all round for a crazy good price.

Ask for Richard in the servicing, or else pat mc keown in parts, great men to work with.

Is your b5 at Hollybrook atm? I remember viewing a black b7 avant about a year ago with themselves before I eventually found my car.

I used Belfast Audi recently as well and found them to be good to deal with, although I thought nothing really special price wise.

Yes the B5 is with them at the moment, as I have mentioned in earlier posts if one sells I will keep the other, as both great cars in there own way. Hollybrook have a few nice cars at the moment, some top end stuff as well!
