2007 S6 Adaptive Cruise Control - Faulty?

Post by youngsyr » Mon Dec 14, 2015 7:53 pm

Just bought this little beauty and was very impressed on the drive home - an effortless and comfortable drive. :)

It has Adaptive Cruise Control, which I'm reliably informed does work by the trader, but which I cannot get to work. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong - I pull the cruise control stalk towards me, get the 3 dots on the central cluster display, then hit the "set" button on the end of the CC stalk, as per the manual, but I just keep getting the message "ACC Not Available"? Am I a muppet, or is it faulty?

Thanks in advance for any help. :)

Car looks ace. Sounds like you are operating ACC correctly, so I would suspect something is faulty. ACC relies on other components, particularly ABS. Best bet is to get a Full Scan by VCDS/Vagcom, which will tell you if there are any faults. I didn't see where you are, but if you are anywhere near WA3 postcode I'd be happy to help. Else, definitely worth a return trip to the trader so he can demonstrate it working for you.
