Re: Oil Temperature
'depends'
Different brands of oil, car usage, ambient temp, oil age and even driving style will change it.
lowest steady state I've had is 89 and average is about 95-98.
Couple quick bursts and it'll go to 104-110.
Decent oil will be fine running constant 120-130 and occasional 140-150 (bit would avoid if possible).
Good to get oil up over 100c now and then to remove any moisture content.

Re: Oil Temperature
Thanks for your help....really helpful.
What oil would you recommend ? I don't really do track driving and am more of a moderate driver so nothing too heavy !

Re: Oil Temperature
In that case stick with Castrol edge 5w30 as recommended.
It's a good enough oil and approved so no big issues. Change it when it starts to be used which is around 5k-8k depending on driving style and use.
If you want the best then my preference is to silkolene pro being fully ester based but to be honest there no such thing as a bad fully (proper fully) synth oil for road use.
Just remember to give the car plenty of beans now and then (both engine and brakes). And only push the car when the oil is up to temp (I tend to stick to 80 as a min)
