What is a standard RS6 exhaust made from.

Ho forum,
I bought an RS6 exhaust from a forum member on here to have fitted to my allroad.
The garage who are doing the repainting on the plastic parts of my allroad are going to fit the exhaust as the guy who owns it can turn his hand to most things after having to rebuild his racing cars.
He phoned tonight to say that he will have to use my allroad exhaust tips as the oval one's will not fit the cut-outs in the rear bumper which is no biggy, but one thing he said was that the exhaust was stainless.
I take it he has just made a mistake or were the RS6 exhausts made from stainless steel?

Just a thought is that it has matt black oval tips on it.

VAG exhausts are stainless.

The tips on that exhaust were painted by the looks of it mate. Exhaust is stainless as stated above
