Standard car dyno:

After being Viper'd:

Things to note:

1. On the first plot you can see the heatsoak effect between the 2 pulls.
2. On the 2nd plot, there was a lot of faffing about getting the car centered on the rollers. I reckon I would have been more like 500hp if it wasn't for that.
3. The cartec dyno I was on gives silly (high) values for the torque on autoboxes. I believe the 2nd plot to be accurate torque.

2 different dyno's doesn't leave much to compare number wise, but it's safe to say that the plot looks good. No jaggies or big drops anywhere (even if the superflow is obviously a more smoothed curve)

Yes, unfortunately where I live dynos are few and far between so beggars can't be choosers.

I'm pleased with the torque curve. You can really feel the difference when driving it. Lots more punch midrange; The curve confirms this.

To me, it just looks like you have better boost control with the new map....the figures aren't too different, although im sure it feels stronger on the road

Was it expensive?

You can't take into account the torque values for the first plot. It is overreading. There is waaay more torque now.

Expensive? How long is a piece of string; I consider it good value and money well spent as far as I am concerned. Not to mention that I can still get the map customised if I can bothered to do some Vagcom logs. But I probably can't. :)

I haven't taken my recently Vipered RS6 near a dyno, but even in normal driving the difference between before/after is quite something (my neck is still suffering!) Seeing the graphs, I can understand why. The difference in the midrange, and the car feels so quick off the mark now.
