Been working my ass off so not been here for a bit.

Looking at a car and it has 10 previous owners. Would this put anyone off? Car looks mint, but the 10 ownership thing is really putting me off.

its 10 yrs old tbf

but 10 is excessive unless there is a genuine story behind it

for example, i am the 4th "owner" of my 2.5yr old C6, but in reality 1 man has owned it its whole life bar its first 3 months

thats actually a nice example, its got one hell of a shine.

the owners wouldn't bother me. i know an enthusiast who favours it, he said the first thing a new owner does is clean it and spend money on it.

would have to change the number plate though, couldn't have cock and ball torture on my plate!...damn i watch too much porn!! :biggrin3:

Ask grizz about the car.

most likely 6 of them didn't know how expensive it is to run it and when they had to fill up an 80 liter tank just to go out to get some bread from the Shop in the corner they realized is going to bankrupt them so they immediately sold it... :biggrin3:

If something doesn't feel right trust your instinct and stay away. The amount of times I say to myself why didn't I listen to my instinct and not get/do that. Some good points above though.

I would ask how that power is possible. Not sure it is with those mods!

Yeah, not possible unless he's omitted some mods. I don't think so - more like a case of overactive imagination.

Nicer examples still appear, why rush and feel like you have made a mistake?

550 BS more like. You cannot really push past 500bhp with just a catback.

AND CAPITAL LETTERS IN AN ADVERT PISS ME OFF!!

+1 This is reason enough not to buy the car for me.

Things I love about this ad:

*THIS IS A GENUINE CAR - As opposed to those fake, non-genuine cars kicking about in the world.
*IT HAS FULL SERVICE HISTORY BUT AS I LOST THE SERVICE BOOK - I'd be looking into this, I'm assuming you'd have to actually call each Audi center stamped in the 'new' service book... can we now call this a non-genuine service book?
*CV JOINT HAS STARTED TO CLICK SLIGHTLY ONLY WHEN ON FULL LOCK ON SLOPES (BUT IM PREPARED TO GET THIS SORTED BUT MAY REFLECT IN PRICE SLIGHTLY) - But this car has gotten everything it needed, when it needed it... so why wasn't it done, what else hasn't been done?
*CASH ON COLLECTION - Really?
*NO TEST PILOTS - That seems short-sighted and prejudiced! Why cut out a perfectly good section of the market? So if you're an RAF pilot, forget about buying this car.

Now where's bookfather, I mean, Mr. Nonsense.

The more I think about this.
  • "CV JOINT HAS STARTED TO CLICK SLIGHTLY ONLY WHEN ON FULL LOCK ON SLOPES (BUT IM PREPARED TO GET THIS SORTED BUT MAY REFLECT IN PRICE SLIGHTLY)"
The more I can't figure it out. Help me out...
Is he saying "I'll get this fixed but I'll raise the price slightly to reflect the repaired CV"? How the fcuk does that logic work?! What if all the windows were smashed in, would he say "look, all the windows got kicked in but I can sell it as is or I can have it fixed but the price will go up to cover my expenses for the new windows"... Fucken weirdo.

In the current climate I'd say he was about a grand too much...£10k tops...but 10 owners...I'd hazzard a guess at least 4 of those will have been punters that have spotted a problem...gearbox probably...and got rid...10 owners... man that's a lot!

Why would you even be looking at that when this is for sale for £10.5k?
