If it makes you fell better, I'm sure Doug can put a sticker on the boot for you. Instant upgrade. :D

I just realised that i am going to have to run this past inchcape to ensure that i don't invalidate the warranty or if the swiss cheese oem ic's are doing what their intended purpose was and that's to start leaking whether they, inchcape, would contribute to an upgraded intercooler..i am expecting a jog on you si but its worth a try..i could treat it to some millteks then...why can't owning this car be plain sailing

i am sure amar was trying to get a group buy going for wagners

The battle wagon is still at my house. I broke it. I has to pick my car up on the train, (another £27 for public transport) gutted. I'd just stuffed more diesel into the battle wagon and then it got very ill. It was farting out a cartoonish amount of black smoke to the traffic behind, that made me smile.
I ended up fixing it yesterday, it turned out to be a boost hose that had had enough and tried to escape. In fact, most of the engine is actually trying to escape, it's a mental car. Driving it reminds me of being a small boy trying to walk my neighbour's powerful dog, it just ends up dragging you where ever it wants.
I have a suspicion that Doug doesn't like us calling it the MRC Battle Wagon.

I don't care ;) as I find the name to be a perfect fit, I mean it with total bizarre affection and I am jealous that you are getting to drive it and not me anymore. Glad to hear that I am not the only bloke to break it though. Was a mild brown trouser moment doing the last 25 miles or so to MRC on Chrimbo eve with clouds of diesel-rich smoke pouring out of the back and only certain speeds/rev ranges working..... I managed to make the fuel rails give up the will to live I was told.....

Doc, it may well be the Labia for you then my son! Had that for a day or so if memory serves

Right ok..enough is enough..i don't like the paucity of knowledge i possess about my engine bay..i have just been to halfords (yes i know) to buy a funnel and i can now hear a whoosh so i am sure a hose has come loose so i turn the engine off and pop the bonnet...now a jubilee clip i can cope with so i pretended to know what i was looking for and did some checks( like clarkson testing the Veyron tyres ) and grabbed things muttering " well that seems ok" and for the life of me i could not find a loose hose..could some awfully kind soul point out or annotate below and point out the main culprits and yes there is swiss cheese leaking... :audibash:

If you are referring to the last photo, that is your radiator not your intercooler. The intercoolers are behind the fog grills, I contacted Mark at Wagner Tuning and he is yet to get back to me. If you are doing the group buy it is worth going to Wagner direct rather then pay a middle man. You can contact Mark via SRS or the Wagner Facebook page. I'm not in on the group buy for the time being, so you guys feel free to carry on.

yep ..havent posted the intercooler pics yet...the reason for the last pic are to ask what is underneath the box if I press the 2 buttons with press on either side of the "biturbo" lettering. I havent yet but will get to learn the contents of that bay..

Could it be a bottom intercooler hose??? Pretty sure this is a usual suspect.

The intercoolers have a top and a bottom connection (they're getting spit-roasted). I'm not sure you can see the bottom connection points without removing the engine tray and lifting the front-end to have a squiz. I could be wrong.

i just changed my hoses for the wagners hoses, the bottom ones were very soft, and i reckon not far from splitting. it's definately wortha look doc, and bam is right, the belly pan will have to come off.
