:biggrin3:

Ok so heres the scenario, I joined a private lane, seeing about 200 yards up the road a bmw coupe , get up close and personal, 335d, twin pipes, ok here goes, 2 puffs of black smoke, rear squatting off he goes, I accept the invitation.. reach about 40 leptons then and i`m smiling as ive got half a pedal of travel to go then all of a sudden, brown fluid on the floor by his rear tyre and bits of plastic flying towards the front of my car, he indicates left, left then left again, hazards on the hard shoulder (saw it in my rear view mirror)

something went, something BIG went...a bientot mon ami..major fail..major major fail.. he had a car full of passengers, I bet he wasnt expecting that 20 sec after telling his passenger "watch this"

Moral of the story: If you see the 4 rings coming atchya in your mirror, politely indicate left......:kissmyrings:

P.S Do you think the AA have picked him up yet :FIREdevil:

I had a 335D M Sport, it went really well. Not RS6 fast though, mapped it might stay with a standard RS6 though but mine was standard. It was much faster then my S8 in the dry though. Not very exciting to be honest.

I hate beemers in pretty well all forms but I find 535d's to be stupidly quick for what they are, never cease to impress me for a tactor.

I'd heard remapped 335ds are even faster than white vans!

I am looking at buying a second hand 2 dr auto BMW 335i for the better half as she finds the mapped RS6's too 'touchy' on the accelerator and too large to park in the car park spaces, that she swears are getting smaller every day.

She currently has a BMW 320i that would not drag the skin of a rice custard, but very economical. :jump_clap: Wants to trade to a more sporty looking 3 series, but wont come at a M3. She knows me too well!

I have driven a mapped 335i M and I can assure you that they will give a standard RS6 a run for its money.
They handle very nicely as well. No competition though for a mapped RS6.

Sakimo mode on, a tuned 335D does 13.4secs 1/4 mile terminal speed of 104mph, according to Google.
I'm not sure what a standard/tuned RS6 does. I'll have a look but I suspect that Doc is right. Standard RS6 does the 1/4 in 12.6.

Amar, Stage 2!! Miles More power and Torque than my little 5 now! I've read that a stock RS5 does a 12.7 1/4 miles? :beerchug:

From my troll of the web road tests on a standard rs5 c5 V8 TT and own experience, on a cool night, the best you will generally see is a 13.01 secs for the quarter.Still fast enough to see off a tuned 335D. Very rare to see a standard C5 rs6 V8TT break into the twelves and I have only read of one that has run 12.9 secs.

A modded c5 rs6 V8TT can achieve twelves.

The only standard RS6 that can regularly run twelves is the C6 V10 TT.
