Vag com
Vag com
Ive had my 2003 rs6 4 months & really want to understand it better, I see a lot of comments about Vagcom & fault codes, can someone please put me straight on buying a decent diagnostic system so I can see what's going on with my machine. Not experienced in this type of technical data so just something I can plug & play will suffice for now!

Re: Vag com
It really does have to be Vagcom IMO. Perfectly good for simpletons like you & me where you can plug it in, hit Auto Scan and as long as you tell it what variant of Audi it is scanning, job done after a few minutes and it is all displayed on screen for you. It can do sooooo much more but I don't know where to start with that currently.

You can read fault codes with a cheapo ODB2 reader, but you won't get all the VW specific stuff that you do with a Vagcom.
