Re: wet floor
Or broken rear wash pipe. Check close to the door sill, that's where the piping routes from the front bulkhead to the rear of the car. That is if you have an Avant, otherwise I'm talking complete bollocks and will get my coat.
What ever it is you need it sorted sooner rather then later as there are few essential units down there, such as the TCU for the gearbox.

Re: wet floor
cheers. sounds like it might be the rear skoosher then as i believe the blocked drain hole floods the front passenger side? where is the drain hole so i can check it?
is it easy enough to get at the washer pipe?

Re: wet floor
Not sure who easy it is to fix the pipe, it's mainly a case of taking all the bit off to get the carpet up. So a little time consuming but well worth it. As for the drain hole for the Air/Con, it's just to left of the console at the foot of the bulkhead. Again you need to take all of the trimmings off before lifting the carpet out of the way. I did mine a few months back and spent a Saturday morning getting it all sorted.

Re: wet floor
great! sounds like fun! are the trims easy enough to get off as i dont see any screws?
Re: wet floor
Yep, most of the trim just clips into place. For those with screw's you'll find they are covered and keep a little flat head screw driver to open them. Just take your time and you'll be fine. Simple rule to follow is if it's not coming off easy then it's screwed in somehwere.

Re: wet floor
cool. hopefully get it sorted over the weekend. before it starts to stink or destroy any electronic gubbins!
Re: wet floor
Good man. It's what weekends are for. Oh and I took my wifes hair dryer out to burn of some of the mosture once I unblocked my drain. Maybe worth a go once your done to help it dry out a little. Then just drive around for a few days with the passanger side heater on full blast.

Re: wet floor
In the process of taking the insides to bits. How does the rear bench come out? cheers
Re: wet floor
Yank it up from the front. Be careful of the wires for the heated seats.

Re: wet floor
Cheers. Oh and looks like passenger seat needs to come out as well! It's definitely the rear skoosher hose. it's leaking at the front and through to the rear!

@&£&&£@@!!!!
I used to enjoy taking cars to bits in my teens and early 20's(which was just as well as there was always something broken!). Now I have no time/interest whatsoever in farting about with old cars! What the hell am I playing at?

Re: wet floor
Hehe. YOu are trying to save the headache and expense of having it done wrong at Audi
Try to avoid taking the front seat out if you can.

Re: wet floor
My nearest stealer is 70miles away and this really needs sorting ASAP. I'd like to get the carpet lifted properly to dry it and also so I can open the box of tricks under the seat to make sure it's dry. I'll see what I can do with the seat in. Really though, who in their right mind(other than the Italians) would run a water pipe with a wiring loom and run it past an ecu?
