Miles and loved every single bloody minute.
Went up to scotland over new year, 4 up and the car still pulled like a train and averaged 23mpg over the whole trip. The goodyear asymmetric 2's are superb, had plenty of snow to get through with no prob's and shocked me how good they are in the wet. Did some windy back roads and they didn't even feel like they would let go . I can tell how much more grip the car has cause it's the first time i have felt that i may need the arb upgrade.

What part of Scotland where you in? I was up over the new year holiday near Stirling. We had rain mainly but Snow yesterday as we set off. I managed the entire 385 mile trip back down on a single tank of fuel and that wasn't being senible either as I was travaling with a mate in his V10 5L Towrag

It really is so suprising how effortless these cars just chew the miles.

I can tell how much more grip the car has cause it's the first time i have felt that i may need the arb upgrade.

We stopped off for petrol in Sterling at the Tesco for some momentum.
We stayed in Pitlochry but went to Famous Grouse on the way up for some whsikey tasting. The A822 from Crieff to the A9 looked like this -

If you stopped of at Tesco yesterday then they'll have seen two RS6's in the space of a few hours. I fueled up there before heading back south. We had the snow like that just past Callander heading towards Stirling.

There are two common ones:
Hotchkis (contact Unit 20) have two settings for the rear bar - most people opt for the softer one
H&R (contact MRC) which have only one setting.

In both cases they are about 50% stiffer than the standard at the front which substantially reduces the roll, and of course takes some of the load off the DRC/dampers. The rears are also about +50% IIRC except on the stiffer setting on the Hotchkis which is about +75% IIRC.

Sounds like a great trip North - there are some fantastic roads up there!

There is about £100 in price difference between the two too. I'm going to get some soon probably, sounds like a fab drive.

I was wondering how the 6 handles the snowy stuff, haven't had any down here yet.

Scotland is a must amar. Will find the real challenging road out, this was superb and I was loving it, probably too much cause the brother in laws girlfriend told me to stop or she would throw up

We supply the Hotchkis set , they are the only set designed for a rs6 .
We do now carry the h&r set as well ..

As Grizz says the Hotchkis set up is the only one specifically designed for the RS6 (pretty sure the H&R one is a generic A6 set).

It's not really about "changing settings" - more about having the flexibility to set the car up with an even stiffer rear end which will dial out even more of the inherent understeer which dogs our beasts.

These made an amazing difference to my car - transformed it (along with coil overs). Thanks Grizz.

How do you guys get that kind of consumption? I regularly do Aberdeen to Chester (and back again!!) and only ever see a return of 19.5 mpg; best I've had is 20.8 mpg. I need to stop around Preston/Lancaster to fill up.
