Performance Friction Brake Upgrade
Just been trawling Ebay bored at work and came across these.

Just wondering if there's anyone on here that's fitted this kit or not and what you think about it.
I'm guessing it's not an official performance friction kit as I can find any upgrades for our cars on their website.

That is a good price and the PF brake kits are very high quality - and TUV approved for audis. I run the 380 kit on my B7 RS4.

Irrespective of what the normal RRP is, that's a lot of money for effectively just front discs and pads. For a little more you can get a full 390mm C6 RS6 setup including larger Brembo 6-pot calipers...

I also have heard good things about those kits.
Also you can get the C6 disks, calipers, and pads from TPS for the same price.
*BUT* the C6 solution is not a simple upgrade. I will post a new topic with my experiences.

A silly question, but is the larger disc option (posted by the OP) just a bolt-in option?
Just a simple case of removing the old discs & pads and then use the longer caliper bolts?
No clearance problems on standard 19s?

I could be wrong but I am pretty sure in saying that if the Unit 20 C6 disc upgrade (390mm) with caliper spacers fits under the OEM 19" wheels (which it does), it is highly unlikely that this kit won't.

Looking at the pictures on Ebay, it's just a case of replacing the standard caliper bolts with the longer ones plus spacers. My only concern would be pad contact. If that's going to be the case then surely it kind off defeats the object of the larger discs. But then again they are performance friction discs so stopping power would probably still be greatly improved.
Will probably have to wait a while anyway. Need to do something about the suspension first.
