Unit 20 Review

I have just had my cambelt, service and intercoolers done by Unit 20.
I cannot find a single negative thing to say about the experience, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way.
I know it is routine for the front end of a car such as this to come off when doing a cambelt change, but it is stuff that still worries me encase it isn't put back together right. I've got the car back now and everything lines up perfect and is screwed in properly. Perfect, one of my main reasons for choosing Martin was these guys know the C5 RS6 inside out and see more then anyone else.
The customer service was excellent, even if Grizz was busy working on a car he would still come to the phone just to answer my endless questions.
When I came to collect the car, he explained everything that was done in detail and advised me there is a 12 month warranty on the intercoolers, and if I found any leaks to bring it back and they would be sorted free of charge. I had also told Unit 20 to do a full inspection of the car, they knew I was willing to spend money getting anything found wrong on the healthcheck sorted, but were completely honest and said there was no need as nothing else needs doing.
All parts used were of course genuine Audi, there was a free loan vehicle which I put about 400 miles on, even the way the bill is presented in a nice quality folder so it can be kept neat and tidy is another nice touch.
Overall I was very pleased, everything was done on time as and when promised with no delays, the work was top notch and all the work completed explained in great detail. It was certainly worth the near six hour round trip from Warwickshire to see the RS 6 experts.

I agree, I've been there today and can't really fault the place... Just a shame he's delivered me some bad gearbox news!

Nice review Amar, glad to hear you are enjoying the 6 just the way you wanted and with such a commute you can tell you’re committed ;)

This is especially reassuring to hear as we all know you have the highest standards for any RS enthusiast; with the exception of wanting to drill your airbox, but we'll let that slide. :bash:

Yup - Unit 20 is about 30 mins drive from me, but even if they were at the other end of the country the journey would be worth it. Total peace of mind knowing the motor is in good hands. Always nice to have a perv at the other RS cars that are there as well - especially as there's usually a stripped engine or two to have an ogle at. :thumb:
