Anyone changed the seats in their RS6?
I find the standard Recaro's very uncomfortable on longer journeys and was wondering whether to get a pair of black A8 seats from a D3 model and put them in (then get them piped in silver to match). Don't know if it's a straight swap or not?
Any other suggestions to ease the longer journey
(conversley, they are brilliant for shorter blats)...

I only find the seat base a little uncomfortable compared to the seats from the s4. I do struggle with my back after an op 3 years ago but can happily drive upto scotland from brum non stop with no prob's

These seats are like sofa's compared to the B7 buckets... as nice to look at as they are in there younger( they wear v badly and quickly) years they are like riding on a razor blade after a couple of hours. The 6's seat fits me better than any of my previous including my old 3.0l Capri!! smashing bolsters with plenty of under leg port. I suppose its down to individual size but my guess would be the 6 being a big mans car
My only issue has been my feet which is a different topic I can never get my feet positioned comfortably regardless of car and my ankles kill after a while ....

If i do decide to go down this route at some point - do they just drop straight in?

More likely to drop in than D3 seats.

Try recaro cs's. I've got them in my c5. Really comfortable drove back from lake Garda to Glasgow in one hit (2 of us sharing the driving) absolutely no problems.
