Have tried to source a OEM wheel for the car but no luck, yes plenty on flea bay but none are OEM Audi have quoted £750 plus vat which is far to much for 1 wheel, so deciding to spend and go for some after market ones, what would you guys go for and what size and offset would i need, it seems its a mine field trying to source the wheels that will fit, any sugestions or info would be great.

OEM wheels are 19 x 9.0" with a +35 offset and 5 x 112 bolt pattern. In order to be able to run 255 width tyres you need either 9" or 9.5" width wheels, with an offset between +35 and +25. Any less than +25 and you risk the tyres rubbing on the arches. We know that +25 offset will fit fine as many people run a 10mm spacer with no issues. You could run a +45 to +35 offset, but you would need to run a spacer to push the wheel further out, by the difference between the new wheel offset and the oem wheel.

Remember, the lower the number, the further out the wheel will be.

Thanks Mart, is there any specific wheel that looks good on the 6 i have been thinking of the C6 look a like think they suit the car well.

Round ones.

Start looking at wheels on the Internet, it will destroy your eyes, I looked for months. It helps if you can trundle along to a wheels shop, if you're serious, they've got a stand to place wheels up next to your car so you can get an idea. You'll usually make a decision there and then. What suspension do you have?

Still on second generation DRC just dont know what wheels to go for, think i will do as you say and pay a visit to a wheel Shop like you said looking on the net is crap, i would like to see more of the brake caliper and dont want rims that stick out of the wheel, its a fooking night mare to actually get the wheels you want in the size for the 6 unless you have spacers of which im not to keen on putting on, will keep researching.

Have a search on SRS for definitive wheel thread I started for the rs6, loads of pics...

I went for genuine c6 rs6 wheels and loved them to bits!

Unless you want crappy copies, best place to get them is second hand from German ebay - that's where I got mine. Search for 'Felgen rs6 20' and select the 'Gebraucht' filter which means used:

You should be able to get a set nearly new for £1400 ish.

Bobby - not sure if its of any help but i have a wheel with a barely legal P zero i brought from a departing inmate as a spare . I am based in ascot and could loan you this to give you some breathing space to find the set / replacement ?
