My sister just got me this for my birthday, from the DVLA
How long does the paperwork usually take to come through? Cannot wait to get it on the car.

Well she paid for the rights for me to get it on the car, I need to buy the actual plate myself.

Nice plate. Im just transfering mine over and it trakes a couple of weeks and a bit of paper work via post. £80 for the reatainer/transfer. Its quicker if you can drive to your nearest DVLA office and get the paper work done there. I think you just need an MOT cert and reg forms. You then just take the OK form to Halfords or wherever and get them made up. Get the spotty geek to fit it for you as if your like me I can never fit the bloody things on straight!

My sister has paid the £80 fee and the physical plates are coming tomorrow as I ordered them online. I didn't want the Halfrauds slogan at the bottom! Thanks for the advice though, I reckon I'll head up to DVLA and get them assigned on Friday if the paperwork comes in time.

Nice...why not spend a few £££ more and get some road legal metal plates from Dubmeister?
http://www.dubmeister.co.uk/webshop/uk- ... al-plates/ I was very pleased with the look when I fitted them. The only issue I have had is getting tape strong enough to hold them in place...heavy duty velcro seemed to be the answer until 40 degree heat in France this summer loosened the glue on them...

A bit too close to "pills r us" for a bored traffic cop to not notice and take up 1hr of your time unnecessarily telling you of how the spacing between the letters is illegal.
Not trying to put u off or owt

And then taking you down the station for a more "thorough" investigation and cavity search!"

was going to get the silver on black plates for my own cherished plate but thought the £60 spot fine and cavity search(on the spot aswell) was a bit too much to take in exchange for the exclusivity.

Haha well if you guys couldn't work out it meant plus, then the general public will certainly think that.
Stuck them on with some double sided tape (not properly) as I was rushing to get to work so you'll notice it isn't stuck on properly. But gives an idea. I'm going to get some properly spaced out ones made out too. Maybe with a slogan 'RS 6 Plus - 126/999' what do you guys reckon?
Excuse the crap pic
Looks better then the old plate anyway.
