When you had yours fitted was it a straight swop, with no messing about?

Adapter kit from kufatec, take the old one out and plug the new one in. Only minor difference is you need to tap in to the canbus under the dash To get the dis to work but really easy!

DIS is driver information system - dash display giving radio/cd info and sat nav info. Canbus is the system that allows the cars systems to talk to each other - as I say connecting just involves splicing in to 2 wires under the dash. Easy

Marv, there must be 1000s of wires under the dash please be good and tell me which ones to splice into if you can remember it would be very helpful

Can't remember 100% and in Spain at the mo so can't look or up. Basically you remove the panel below the dash (closest to yor knees) and there is a little silver box up high to the left of the steering colum - the wires go in to there and you need to find can hi and can low - there are 2 orange wires one with a purple stripe and one I believe has a green stripe - can't be 100% on the stripe colours but sure you could find an installation guide or wiring diagram somewhere... Just splice in and attach the wires from your kufatec kit and off you go - I disconnected the battery when I did mine as a matter of course

Think this might be a scam. Or put differently, I think I am getting scammed
Might just be a properly <beep> seller, but I've got a bad feeling I won't be seeing that 400 quid again.
Not blaming you in any way, DK.

You were smarter than me. I'd appreciate it if you could send me the details you have to me in a PM
I sent the money via bank transfer. Thought that would give me some protection, but looks like I might as well have sent 10 pound notes in the second class post.
