Alan is on here, his DRC pipe exploded. Catastrophic failure at high speed.

Edit: looks like this is a new failure!
A reliable car should be riding on KWV3s or PSS9s or H&Rs.

As he's a doctor and the car is private i don't think he's allowed sirens and the lights should be green.

Reading that article, I'd suggest it was naive to just get repairs done without having got the thumbs up or even having spoken to the warranty company. I suppose the need for that might be exacerbated by being unable to get hold of the company and being marooned in Scotland.

Fair play, Thanet to Glasgow must be 500 miles or about £170 each way in petrol.
Wonder if he has ever signed anyone off for gearbox anxiety or DRC related stress???
