Really? I thought the only tyres they would recommend were the Michelin PS2. How did they recommend them?
Will they clear the knobbly bit?

Seems unlikely as they dont deliver michelin on their cars from the factory..at least not at this moment not sure about the past. All new audis I see are delivered on Contis (BMW too)

I found these tyres fine , as far as they go , but I got one half to two thirds of the mileage compared to the Michelin P S 2s...

I had issus with tyres for my C6 and evetually e-mailed Pirelli as thats what I always had on my previous C5 and current C6 this is their reply
Good morning,
Thank you for the information.
The correct fitment for the 09 Audi RS6 on this size is the 275/35ZR20 (102Y)XL P ZERO (RO1).
This has been homologated by Audi.
275/35ZR20 XL ROSSO (B) = Bentley
275/35ZR20 102Y XL NERO = Audi A8
The same was said for the C5 when I had it.
Hope it helps

i believe R01 is the Audi code , but still unsure about the Contis , compared with Vreds or GY's etc

My vote will always be for PS2. They are insanely grippy. I can't conceive of a tyre performing better. Even in the wet. The only other tyre I would consider putting on is the GY F1 assy, and then only because Mooch raves about them.

Do the PS2's fit when upping to 275/30/19 as it seems the Vreds do? and the knobbly bit?

I tried to get Conti Sport Contact 3 tyres to replace my shredded ones but was told that they have been superseeded by conti sport contact 5P R01 which i am now running (maybe they are only superseeded in 20" which is what i have). They are a great tyre with loads of grip but the wear rate is quite poor compared to the likes of goodyear, vredestein etc
