Hi guys, been reading a lot on here about gearboxes so thought it would be best to check my atf. Can't see anything in the owners manual and can't find anything under the boNnet? Anyone know how to check it and if it needs to be warm or cold?

There is a guide on line , you need vag com to do it .

It needs to be checked with the engine running at about 35°C. You definitely need to follow the procedure to the letter and have nerves of steel. Get someone else to do it

Oh, and since the procedure for checking the level is almost the same as the procedure for changing the ATF, you might as well do that instead
