Gearbox Gremlins

Post by RS6Steve » Tue Jul 20, 2010 7:27 pm

came and did something magical last night.....

My gear changes seem to have dramatically improved, they have become much, much smoother! I have no idea what has happened, but it's GREAT!!!

Some crap must have shifted from somewhere :-) or something is about to break :-(

My biggest bug bear with the car was the box, now I'm actually quite impressed!

I sometimes find that the gearshift improves after the batt has been disconnected for 90 seconds or so. It clears any codes and as far as i know it resets the 'learning facility' of the gearbox, taking it back to standard settings.

As for your box, i have no idea. Just enjoy it, but keep an eye on it.

I notice differences due to weather conditions. Will this be the info the 'box gets from the mafs?
