Anyone fitted one of these exhausts?

Post by RS6Steve » Mon Dec 28, 2009 3:15 pm

I know most people go for the Miltek option, but I quite like the Quad exhaust look...

http://www.myecu.co.uk/products/apr_exhaust_rs6.htm

Miltek is an option but I'd like something a little different I thinK!

Thanks for your advice in advance

I wanted something different too but I also wanted the Milltek system.
I ended up buying the system without the Milltek tailpipes (which were in my mind well overpriced), and brazed on some relatively inexpensive stainless tailpipes with carbon sleeves (£25 ea). Just the ticket.

There's a pic in my gallery for anyone who'se interested.
Nessie.

Don't know if this'll work??

That doesn't look bad at all.

Quite like it.

Car looks mint.

How about some BN pipes? I've heard good things about them.

Usual suspects mate: MRC or Unit20.

Prices have come down a tad so you're looking at around £750-£800.

Worth every penny!

Milltek exhausts are overpriced TAT.
If you can get a custom exhaust fabricated, you'll achive a much nicer tone, without the boom that acompanies EVERY milltek system and for a fraction of the cost.
Plus a system that fits perfectly on your car...

any personal experience golfather? who would you recommend and what's your issue with the exhaust note of the Milltek?

You'll find that even a custom dual system isn't achievable for cheap money so for a few quid more the Milltek is a viable and proven alternative.

I'd be interested in any specs of an exhaust system anyone might have as I know a place that makes custom exhausts near me who are very good.

(I want a loud rumble like in the attached clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kF1SYiPGs2k )

How much would I be looking at?

I have always changed the exhausts on my cars, but i'm finding it hard to justify if it has little performance gain.

Thx

OMG

you NEED to change the exhaust on the RS 6 to the NON RES. It totally transforms the car. It takes on a completely different personality. The OEM exhaust is virtually SILENT in comparison
