Car didn't feel so quick today. I told myself that I was just getting used to it, but after adjusting my suspension, I took it out for a drive and grabbed my G-tech on the way out to check the 0-60 times. Best I could get was 0-60 in 5.8 seconds.

I thought the 0-60 on a standard car should be more like 4.5 sec?

I checked with the vagcom: no boost problems, no error codes anywhere.

There's no rolling road anywhere near me, so that's out (that's why i bought the g-tech in the first place).

Any ideas anyone?

Hmm. Plugs? Poor fuel?

Yes, about 25°C. Could it really make that much difference?

Fuel: Just filled up on Esso 98 octane.

The plugs need changing, that's for sure, but my attempt today was abortive. Could it make that much difference?

Possibly a head wind - did you do another run in the opposite direction?

Good thinking, but no wind here tonight, and I did several runs in different directions each time. I don't think it's that.

Tony Aka orinoco had the same problem , He said he disconnected the battery for several minutes and was fine..

Is it to do with a memory or adaptation the car gets used to and repeats?

I'll give that a try, but I don't hold out a lot of hope.

Could poorly DVs cause this kind of behaviour?

I had this exact same issue with my car, did the 0-60 repeated 5 times 5.6 to 60, the car been serviced new mafs n75 dvs, there were no faults on vagcom, I remembered reading about how the car has dynamic adaptation and disconnecting the battery would reset its brain so to speak, I disconnected the battery for 5 mins, went back out car was a completely different beast, car was full Milltek front to back including 100 cell cats West map which I believe is quite an aggressive map, so expected at least the 4.5 secs, going back out I am not ashamed to say I <beep> myself repeated 0-60 5 times, times were all 3.5/3.6 seconds, plotted hp prior to battery trick was 501 on vagcom which was inline with her last rolling road run, plotted bhp after battery reset 541bhp I am not saying these are accurate would love to have seen it back on the RR but alas I sold it 5 days later but the difference prior to the battery disconnection was night and day

Wow. Thanks for sharing that, orinoco. It's true that most of the time I drive the car very softly, so maybe it's become lazy. What was your normal driving style when this occured?

The stats when I sold the car were showing avg mpg 21.3, Grizz always used to take the piss when it went to him as he would get in car to put it on ramp and 1st thing he would check would be the miles left in tank, was not unusual to see 240 miles on half a tank , don't get me wrong I was no Miss Daisy, but my daily commute was at cruising speed, mostly in flappy mode but in 5th most of the time for the 33 mile journey to and from work, definitely worth trying the battery disconnect trick, it worked for me hopefully you will have the same result

Are there any disadvantages to disconnecting the battery, like having to reset the radio or anything?

I had to enter the code on the RNS-D, I see you have a plus which has the RNS-E, on my other Audi with RNS-E when the battery was disconnected I did not have to enter a code, HTH
