I do believe it was, but i'm not 100% sure.
The Plus was launched at the very end of the RS6 production life cycle, however standard 6's were still being produced & IIRC the last production batches did also have the RNS-E

Yes, in the RS6 plus. Possibly some very late model RS6.

Yeah, I think people here before have said that even some standard '04 RS6 had the RNS-E.

A good friend of mine has recently purchased a 54 plate A6 Avant and RNS-E was fitted as standard in it. When he comes to sell it, I'll happily swap my 'D' for his 'E'

Never seen an RS6 with RNS-E factory fit, only 6plus'
Limited edition A6 Allroad had factory fit RNS-E as they were getting rid of them.

they finished off the 1.9tdi's & the 2.5tgi's with a "final edition" model which included RNS-E as part of the package. The missis was looking for a late A6 1.9tdi in early 2005 and we drove a final edition - was very well specced & good price too. But I've never seen it in the option list for A6's

My late (54 plate) '6 still had the RNS-D.
I think it was only ever the 'Plus' that had '-E as standard. There are quite a few wiring changes (AV connectors, different CAN and TV tuner wiring etc.).
