well that sounds very reasonable too me. just paid £350 for a set of rears on eBay! is that £400 PLUS VAT? Are they the PLUS ones - i.e. drilled?

I'm no expert, but my mechanic says you can get pattern rears for no more than £100 each which are just as good - the front ones are much bigger and thus more expensive and no-one does a pattern part. My car isn't a plus.
I just picked them up anyway - was £420 inc. VAT asked for a discount / feined heart attack and got them for £380....
Now I just need to pay to get them fitted....

Im fitting myself. Got car on jacks at this moment. Both rears dropped off today for refurb and then fitted with Vredesteins!! Once I got the old discs off I found the pison seals on both sides were perished so getting new ones. Just got myself the windback tool from halfords so all set to go :-)

Hmmmm it is a fair bit. I think I would have a go myself but not sure how difficult it is!!! Presumably best way is to completely remove each caliper and refit off the car?!?!?!

I don't think you want to remove the caliper. SHould be easy enough to change the disks without.

Is that £400 per disk?

I'd of bit there hand off for £400 for front brakes, imagine paying less and hoping to brake safely from high speed. Sad really, RS6 ownership requires car maintenance cost thresholds to be lifted to an elevated level... What do people expect, performance car experience for fiesta money??? There are of course those elements where because its "RS" the price rises disproportionately.

A Friend of mine has a garage and he gets my stuff at trade. He got them from an indy VW/Audi supplier I think.
