Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta have been very good over the last 5k miles. Wearing evenly with lots of grip.

Ditto - bought 4 of the same recently from Camskill - lots of grip and road noise seems better. Lots of feedback on teh Vredesteins on the forums here which I why I got them.

I couldn't get the vreds when I was looking so opted for the F1's - I think they were £705 fitted from Micheldever off the M3. Opted for the 275 x 30 x 19's - I've standard rims with Audi's legendary DRC suspension.
They seem quieter than the Pirelli's the car had previously and grip is very good. Drove through heavy showers today for the first time since they were fitted and the car didn't flinch.

I cannot comment on the pzero`s, but i had F1s on the rear until last week when the vredesteins were fitted, i now have them allround, lots of grip in the wet, road noise seems around the same as f1S but alot less then the contis, cannot comment on wear as i`ve only had the front ones for 10 months and still got around 6mm left on them so done around 6k on them.
My personal opinion is they are great, why would i pay £230 for a road tyre when the vredesteins are £145, if i thought there were any saftey issues i certainly wouldn`t have them on my car risking my family.

My local fitters were very happy to fit the tyres for me. You probably need to make sure you have new (metal) valves too. They had a nightmare removing the old ones - had to drill them out, breaking a drill bit in the process...

think I will buy some for fitment in a few months. I assume you should always fit 4 new tyres and not 2?
should you also get 4 wheel alignment done when you fit new tyres? I was thinking of using audi to do it but would welcome any suggestions

My Audi dealer uses a mobile tyre fitter (who was very competitive on price, as it happens) so I am not sure what kind of facilities they would have had for alignment...
I was very impressed with Micheldever's facilities when I have used them (some years back)
