RS6 dump valves

Post by ecain63 » Sat Mar 07, 2009 7:02 pm

When we roaded the car this morning, the operator managed to break the nipple off the right hand dump valve while removing his sensor. No way he could repair it and the management light came on straight away. Is this a cheap repiair or would i be better off going for an after market upgrade? I know a better valve helps turbo spoole up. Any recommendations/

Get a pair of 710n dv's , they are fitted on tt's . Or you can use some nice forge 007's.

I would quite like that whoosh sound, is it easy to add a suitable dv that enables this? If so how much, and how long to fit?

I've had Bailey DV's on my S4 and RS6.
Quicker spool up over the 710N, you do feel the difference

the 007's look alot more reliable than the plastic fantastic OEM parts. is it worth the upgrade? And have you read the claims of 'an extra 5-10bhp'? Are they justified claims?

Forge Dvs are billet aluminium, and as for extra hp...I doubt it.

They increase BHP about as much as folding the rear seats down.

Well, if your current DVs are leaking then they might increase BHP back to its proper level! ;-)
