How much power do you lose?

As with all cars, age will deteriorate a cars performance. Deposits of carbon, grime in injectors etc.
Does anyone know what is the expected current bhp of a standard RS6? Bearing in mind the age of our beloved cars.
There was a 6 saloon at Kartechnic the other day that was running approx 420 bhp and was regarded as being in good health. 24 bhp loss isnt much but its still a loss.

Mine made 450ish standard. grizz mapped it and it made 489. I/we wern't happy with this, and we changed the N75 and MAfs. At the same time we de catted it. dynoed it up and it made 510bhp and 411 at the wheels

The RS 6 is an absolute beast. . . if it wasnt so heavy it would need wings

Did you test it after changing just the MAFs or did you go the whole hog for the extra 21bhp? Would be interesting to know the staged increase in horse power after each of the changes were carried out.

tested after mafs but with the decat. I reckon on 490-500 with the remap, then the extra from the milltek and decat

2 years since the re-map and things look good. Had the car rolling roaded yesterday and amazingly she is still pulling well. What was even more impressive is that she is slightly up on what she was when the map was first done.
I think it may have something to do with the recent engine refurb but here are the figures.
508 bhp (thats 4 more than original)
510 lb/ft
I'll get a printout up when i get to the scanner

Not wishing to be a nay sayer, but you guys do realise the peril in trying to compare different cars, on different rolling roads, on different days dont you?
Your best bet is either have yours looked at by someone who knows the cars, or to try a car of a known healthy output to see if it feels considerably different to your own. Although this is very subjective. To be honest I would never worry too much about the numbers, but by what someone like the afore mentioned Mr Grizz thinks of it.
I shall now cross my fingers that Mr Grizz now backs me up!! (He's Mr Grizz to me because I havent yet met him or spoken to him!)

There are certain factors that have to be taken into consideration, Atmospheric pressure for 1. If that is not saet on the RR data, you can get rediculous results.
A Good reputable RR will know this, and it will be measured before your runs. There are other ways to hash the figures, but someone like Surrey RR are generally considered to be spot on and the RR near Grizz too (sorry guy's cant rememebr your name). So look at your BP and if its somewhere between 990 ( if the weather is shitty) and 103 in fine weather you should be ok. Thats one that I know!
But T BH mate, Most of us have had our cars as standard, and know the difference that the map has made on my car, and I didnt need a RR to tell me that its stoooopidly quick. I went to a RR just to "see".

My C5 is currently with Mr Grizz & was producing under 400 bhp on the rolling road.
I'm getting it back tomorrow after its 40,000 mile service, a cam belt change & anything else the 'Grizz wizard' may do.

Just back from Mr Grizz .. 'the wizard'. Car's now producing 450 bhp but we're not sure why its not
producing its 500 bhp which is expected from its stage 1 MTM mod.
Detective work continues .. and for those of you that need any help, Grizz is your man !
