Looking into this for the soon to arrive RS6.
Just wondered what people have fitted and their experiences.
Any recommendations appreciated.

Err.... they've all got one as std factory fit!
A search on old threads will reveal where it is.

yep, you just need to phone Tracker and give them some money

They've two or three options depending upon whether you want in active all the time or only activated when stolen...

AIUI the always on tracking requires different hardware on the car. All you have on the RS6 is a Tracker Retrieve unit. Secondly, it wasn't a standard factory fit, it was a no cost factory fit so although most people took up the offer, it's not guaranteed that there will be one.

A Tracker Retrieve was a no-cost option from new, but you could also pay to upgrade the spec from the factory as well (Monitor & Horizon were the only two options at the time).
My 6+ came with Tracker Horizon as a factory fit option.
Just phone Tracker and they can tell you wether one was fitted & which model just from your reg number (or vin if the plates been changed).

Guys
Please understand I did not start this thread but "tracking" is what my company does for police, security services, NHS, global news organisations, train operating companies, premier football teams and even RS6 owners! There is much more to this than just a GPS dot on a map.
We support a whole range of solutions which are best described at
www.trackaphone.com
If you need advice give me a shout.

I paid for Tracker subscription to be "re-enabled" ... they didn't even need to visit the car!
Mind you, I do wonder if I'd ever want it found if it got lifted. I am kind of convincing myself it saves me money on insurance, but probably not half as much as it costs me.
