Warning lights

Morning All!

What a nightmare, only just picked up my RS6+ last week after a 9 month sabatical from it after the gearbox went, and this morning driving
in at about 50 in a average speed camera area on the m3 two warning lights came on, EPC and the Triangle with a Arrow around it, and the car cut of cruise control, wouldn't really respond to the throttle and had to pull it over :(

Turned the car off, waited about a minute, and it had cleared it self, however the gear changes seemed to be not as smooth as before...

Any ideas before I ring the dealer and cry/shout later?

Thanks
Harry

Sorry to hear that and I can't help other than to suggest you take it back to wherever hs it been for nine months? At the dealers? It's still under warranty so you should be OK.

But... where is the average speed camera site on the M3???? Used it yesterday morning heading as far as M25. It was very early and I didn't notice any! Ooops.

Thanks and good luck

I bought it originally march last year, had been modded by qst, with full mtm exhaust, gearbox program and engine chip by the audi dealership before the original owner took possession. I had it for about three months and during that time had several problems with changing gear severely down when slowly accelerating. Eventually the car went into limp mode, took it in to Dovercourt battersea (bought the car in hereford), whereupon dovercourt noticed no serial number coming back from the gearbox, asked whether it had been modded and then promptly refused to warranty it.

South Hereford then came up picked up the car and a whole fiasco later, I sold the car back to SH for cost -miles, which was a good deal.

They've had it sitting on their forecourt for 9 months and I had a range rover sport in the mean time, which just didn't bond with, and eventually managed to get teh rs6+ back but at much discounted rate...
second time round thought i would be luckier!! :) Did manage to get a whole two years new warranty with it aswell...

Will see what they say but hopefully I can take it somewhere a bit more local than Hereford!

As for the average speed check, it's as you come off the M25 at J12, head on to the M3 southbound for about a mile and ahalf, not on the northbound side heading up to the m25 so you should be ok!

Thanks bob

Well just had the ADT guy turn up and he found a few different fault codes 17473, 16684, 16688, 16690 and 17743 although said that none of them really tied in with the problem I had, so he cleared the faults we took it for a drive and all seems "ok".

Not 100% sure on the gear change but...

My faults were
17983 - Right Engine Mount Solenoid Valve (N145): Short to Plus
P1575 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded
17743 - Engine Torque Monitor 2: Control Limit Exceeded
P1335 - 008 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

Seems that last one is common to modded Skodas etc

Vag Com rocks!
