Has anyone had this problem? on a cold start the engine is making a ticking noise, once warmed up it goes away, new plugs new coil packs and full service?

If the ticking noise lasts just a second or two, when the engine is cold, then I wouldn't worry to much. It's normally a bit of chain chatter on the tensioner pads before the oil pressure has built up. My engine had new chains, oil pump, genuine tensioners and still taps for a second or two on cold start. It goes once the oil pressure is there.
I'm interested in others experiences and opinions though :audibash:

Or just a noisy tappet. If mine hasn’t run for a while and they are quite noisy for a bit. Sometimes takes a few minutes to settle down completely.

^ this. Basically the lifters bleed down over time and get a little stuck sometimes until you get some heat in them to loosen up.

Best thing to do is go for a drive, you want oil temps. And run the motor a little more regularly if you can.

Mine was the same after evening stood for months, had a lot of noise from the lifters untill they calmed down. Now after using it more it's just a bit clattery for a second or 2 and then all quiet. As the others have said, a bit more use and it should go away. Possibly an oil change if it hasnt had one recently.

My hydraulic tappets can be a bit noisy on startup.
Very quickly disappears once the oil pressure builds up.
